Baltimore Album applique quilts, and the rich detailing of woodblock prints are two very different art forms that have much in common. Both are a labor of love that take time and skill to create. My love for both, and the desire to combine them, are what inpsired me to design Maryland. While I have yet to master applique, and my art school woodblock days are far behind me, I used pen and ink to create my own take on their marriage.”
